Amen. Once again I am grateful that *someone* is doing this important work; I just wish that more of the people who are *supposed to be* doing it were involved. Step it up, DC politicos and media!
If there was a dccrimefacts-type newsletter (read by a few thousand citizens) for every area of government can you imagine how much better off we'd be?
If only! I think you know this better than I do - I'm not a data ninja, but I have worked in local government - but if cities kept better data, and promoted sharing among agencies, it would be much easier. In my experience, this landscape is pretty challenging.
